Description

Spider Plant (Chlorophytum comosum) is a classic, easy-care house plant known for its arching green-and-white striped leaves and baby "spiderettes" that dangle from long stems. Ideal for hanging baskets or shelves, it's a favourite in UK homes for kitchens, bathrooms, and bedrooms.

Pet-friendly and non-toxic.

PLANTING

  • Use a well-draining, peat-free compost with added perlite or sand.

PLANT CARE

  • Remove brown leaf tips and faded spiderettes; mist occasionally if air is dry.

VERVE RECOMMENDS

  1. Great for beginners and very forgiving.
  2. Water when soil feels dry to the touch.
  3. Propagate easily from baby spiderettes.
  4. Avoid fluoride-rich tap water to prevent leaf tip browning.
