How to Get Started
- Prepare your soil – Carefully open up the soil tablet bag and add 300ml of warm water into each. Wait for the water to be absorbed and then give it a stir with the spoon.
- Prepare your grow tray – Add compost to the green cell tray almost to the top.
- Sow your seeds – Sow 2-3 seeds per cell and carefully cover over with a little more compost.
- Label your plants – use the plant tags to keep on track of your seedlings.
- Place in a sunny spot – seeds need warmth and light to germinate. A sunny windowsill is ideal.
- Water little and often – Keep the compost moist, we recommend using a fine water sprayer if possible, to not disturb the seeds.
- We recommend – When the seedlings are over 5cm tall, you can transplant them on to larger growing pots. Be careful to hold the plant by the leaves rather than the stem. We recommend using Verve multipurpose compost. Keep the plants inside or in a greenhouse until risk of frost has passed, then plant out to your garden or balcony in larger pots or in borders.
