Taking care of your plants
Pachira
Exposure

Locate me in indirect light. Happiest in rooms with temperatures 18-25º. Avoid direct sun which can scorch my leaves. Keep away from cold draughts.

Feeding frequency

Feed me once a month during the growing season of Spring/Summer with a good quality general purpose plant feed.

Repoting

Repot every two to three years when rootbound in the spring, moving only to a slightly larger grow pot using a cacti-succulent compost.

Watering frequency

Water me when the top inch of my compost feels dry. Do not overwater me or allow me to sit in water this will damage my roots. Reduce watering in the winter months, November to March.

Description

Nertera, commonly known as Coral Bead Plant or Bead Plant, is a low-growing, mat-forming houseplant admired for its seasonal vivid orange berries and fine, moss-like foliage. Berries are for decorative purposes only and should not be consumed.

Pet-friendly and non-toxic.

REPOTING

  • Not likely to require repotting to a larger size pot, but we advise refreshing the soil with a peat-free, general-purpose houseplant compost after every berry season.

PLANT CARE

  • Prune Pachira leaves and remove damaged branches to maintain balanced shape.

VERVE RECOMMENDS...

  1. Avoid bright sunlight which may burn my leaves, often appearing in white patches.
  2. Move to a shadier spot should this happen.
