Description

Amaryllis is a striking flowering bulb that produces large, trumpet-shaped blooms atop tall, leafless stems. A favourite among indoor house plants in the UK, it's perfect for adding colour during winter months. Often used as a decorative plant in living rooms, offices, and bedrooms.

Toxic if ingested—keep away from pets and children.

PLANTING

  • Plant bulb in well-draining, peat-free compost with one-third above the soil line
  • Use a snug pot.

PLANT CARE

  • Remove faded flowers promptly
  • Allow foliage to die back naturally after blooming.

VERVE RECOMMENDS

  1. Turn pot regularly to keep flower stem straight.
  2. Avoid overwatering, especially before leaves appear.
  3. Store bulb in a cool, dark place for 8–10 weeks after blooming to rebloom next season.
  4. Support tall stems with a stake if needed.
