Taking care of your plants

Crispy Wave Fern
Exposure

Locate me in indirect light to shady spaces. This means I can tolerate shadier areas of your home, or nearer windows but avoiding direct sunlight. Happiest in rooms with temperatures 15º or higher.

Watering frequency

Feed me once a month during the growing season of spring and summer with a good quality, general-purpose liquid houseplant feed.

Feeding frequency

Repot in the spring (but only if plant becomes rootbound) to a grow pot one to two inches larger than the current pot, using a peat-free, general-purpose houseplant compost.

Repoting

Water me when the top two inches of my compost feels dry. I enjoy humid conditions so rooms like bathrooms make ideal homes. Reduce watering in winter months.

description

The Crispy Wave Fern is a tropical beauty with dramatic fronds that add texture and movement to any indoor space.  I'm a versatile plant that's happy in both indirect light and shady locations in your home, and I'm easy to look after.

Pets: Non toxic but can cause stomach discomfort if eaten in volume.

REPOTTING

  • Repot in the spring (but only if plant becomes rootbound) to a grow pot one to two inches larger than the current pot.
  • use a peat-free, general-purpose houseplant compost.

 PLANT CARE

  • Prune Crispy Wave Fern fronds and remove old, brown leaves to encourage healthy growth.

VERVE RECOMMENDS

  1. Avoid overwatering, soggy soil can quickly cause root rot.
  2. Water from the base, as I do not enjoy getting my leaves wet.
